How we do it?

Educational Tools
Systematic curriculum
The objective of the curriculum is to go beyond theoretical knowledge and make it
useful and applicable. Each stage of the curriculum has been researched and designed
in a well-structured manner containing rich content, a diverse style of approach,
with a flexible and focused methodology.
Scientific teaching strategies
All children have their own natural pace of learning. The teachers pay individual
attention to each child keeping this in mind and approach each topic gradually,
making sure all the children are matching up the pace with each other. The teacher
ensures a strong base has been established so as to move forward in the curriculum
smoothly. Teaching methods ensure that every child absorbs maximum new knowledge
in a natural and effortless way, bringing slow learners up to speed, whilst keeping
the most advanced children constantly engaged and excited by the educational experience.
SmartclassTM Technology
SmartclassTM is a digital initiative by Educomp Solutions. This initiative
endeavours to make available a vast resource of knowledge content to each class
through an interactive multimedia white board, thereby fostering a better understanding
and igniting a lifelong love of learning.
It also:-
• Brings abstract and difficult curriculum concepts to life.
• Improves the teacher's effectiveness and productivity.
• Makes learning an enjoyable experience for students.
• Maximizes the academic performance of students.
• Enables a constant monitoring of your child's progress in class.
Contemporary textbooks

The extensive research result have been developed into textbooks and workbooks which
are fun and facilitate learning through activities and games. These books are application-based
and enable children to understand the world around them, with minimal assistance
from the teacher. To ensure that the learning process is made a truly meaningful
and holistic one, the children are introduced to each subject through a series of
practical work and project work. Text books are linked to project files, making
every concept relevant, practical and application based. This helps to make the
process an enjoyable and memorable experience, ensuring that it is retained for
life. Beyond the basic project work, middle school children are taught to link together
similar concepts and are helped in applying them to various vocations that they
may come across in future. The children study as apprentices and work on projects
using the concepts learnt, forging a connection between what the children have learnt
in class and being able to apply it in their real lives. This also ensures that
the value and dignity of labour is imbibed in them.
Continuous assessments
Daily, low-pressure assessments are integrated into each class in order to better
identify the strengths and limitations of each child and facilitate teachers to
tailor their educational approach. A specially designed program is used to interpret
the data collected and the results are a part of the ongoing scientific assessment
of the child. The analysis is further used to guide the child in making future vocational
choices.
Trained teachers

In our system, we address our teachers as facilitators who 'facilitate Understanding'.
All our teachers undergo continuous professional development. They are equipped
with a vast repertoire of the latest tools and techniques as well as an updated
knowledge on the best educational practices from around the globe.
Campus as a teaching tool

Interestingly every classroom is designed as a learning tool. Takshila believes
in the infinite capacity of the young minds to absorb knowledge from the surroundings
they live in. With this in mind all Takshila Schools are designed around the concept
of ‘Walls Speak’- a concept developed by leading school architects, designers, educationists
and psychologists. This is a holistic thought process which envisions the total
physical environment of the school as a teaching tool.
